Sales Executive

Codefarm is expanding its direct sales capability to ensure it capitalizes on its unique position in the market and establishes dominance as rapidly as possible.

As a member of a sales team that currently covers UK, Europe and North America, you will be based in London with territories encompassing continental Europe. You will have a mixture of sell-side and buy-side sales activities, and have the potential to make a valuable contribution to the successful growth of a rapidly expanding company.

This is a challenging role which will leverage your sales skills to yield significant personal results and career advancement in a high-growth segment. Each Sales Executive will have responsibility for achieving his/her annual revenue target and will report to the London-based Global Head of Sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying, developing and closing new licence agreements with banks and/or asset managers in UK and Europe
  • Securing and increasing annual revenue from existing customers
  • in UK and Europe by extending user deployments and maximising application coverage
  • Generating and negotiating on-selling opportunities that support software licence

  • Working with other members of the sales team to close global deals
  • Providing user feedback to product management
  • Maintaining account plans, contact details and activity logs in CRM system
  • Providing weekly pipeline forecasts to the Head of Sales

Experience

  • You will have demonstrated success in securing major sales for innovative products, where the product category is not well-understood by the customer
  • You will have achieved or exceeded your sales targets in year 1 in every prior sales role
  • You may have worked for an early-stage company or have won the first customers for a new type of product
  • You enjoy taking on new challenges and identifying new ways of doing things
  • You will have done well even when times were hard
  • You tend to lose interest when the sales process becomes too repetitive or when the product offering is very similar to the competitor's
  • Worked in complex, fast moving sectors such as finance or telecoms
  • You may have first-hand experience of the investment banking sector, either through having worked for a bank or from another vendor
  • Through your own research or through prior roles you have an appreciation of the credit derivatives segment
  • You are likely to have been involved with application software as opposed to IT infrastructure and have experience of selling to business beneficiaries rather than IT departments
  • You rely more on your professionalism than your network of contacts to get results
  • You may have a degree in a scientific or technical subject or have fulfilled a technical role in the past
  • You are able to engage with and fully utilise pre-sales technical resources
  • You are comfortable in dealing with technical experts but know how to keep the commercial conversation on track
