Codefarm selected for DTI's High Growth Start-Up scheme
20 December 2002
Evolutionary computing specialist Codefarm has won support from the UK Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) through the High Growth Start-Up (HGSU) scheme. The HGSU initiative provides various forms of assistance for entrepreneurial businesses, and is designed for companies with high growth potential.
The HGSU programme aims to accelerate business growth by offering a support package for entrepreneurs to help them realise personal aspirations and business growth targets. Support through the programme includes business mentoring, market assessments and specialist advice from intellectual property and financial advisers.
“As a one-year-old start-up dedicated to commercialising evolutionary computing for scientific and engineering optimization, we will benefit from the DTI HGSU programme by being able to access a range of business support,” said Codefarm Managing Director Jeremy Mabbitt. “Clearly the DTI appreciates Codefarm’s potential for rapid growth and we are confident that its scheme will accelerate our progress.”
